A church that confesses Jesus Christ
Das Evangelium e.V. is an evangelical church in Dortmund. The Bible is the foundation of all our thinking and acting. Our task is to spread the full Gospel of Jesus Christ, whom we confess as Lord and Saviour of the world.
Foundation
The Bible as our foundation
Everything we believe, teach and do is grounded in Holy Scripture. It shapes our services, our pastoral care and our life together – and it is the standard by which we let ourselves be measured.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.
Purposes
What we exist for
The association pursues exclusively and directly charitable and benevolent purposes within the meaning of the German Fiscal Code.
Promotion of education and training
Language courses for young people and adults, general education projects, vocational training and further education, including student support.
Benevolent purposes
Financial support in emergencies as well as care and help for people who depend on others due to illness, age or hardship.
Governing bodies
How we are organised
The association conducts its affairs through the board and the general assembly. The decisive spiritual impulses come from the board.

The general assembly
It meets at least once a year, receives the annual report, elects the board, decides on fees and amendments to the statutes, and appoints honorary members.

The general assembly adopts the founding statutes of the association.

The statutes are adopted in an updated version.
